The Western States Hackney Association, dormant for years, has now been restored as a functioning association affiliate of the       American Hackney Horse Society.  The WSHA is a non-profit organization that is committed to the Hackney.

This organization’s mission, is that of the AHHS. To promote the breeding of quality Hackney Horses and Hackney Ponies; to create interest in the breed; and encourage exhibitors to support horse shows by showing their Hackneys in classes offered. Residency requirements are that you must reside in one of the following Western States.        AK, HI, WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, UT, AZ, MT, WY, CO, & NM.

Annual membership types: Full, Associate, and Junior. This is your invitation to join if you have not yet become a member of the recently reborn Western States Hackney Association (WSHA). If you wish to become a part of WSHA and help shape the future agenda for this association, please e-mail for an application and return it as instructed on the form.

Membership dues are $25/yr ($15/yr for juniors), and become due on January 1st of each year.   We are now accepting membership applications and dues for the calendar year 2008.
